TREE MANAGEMENT SERVICES

 

 

The Town of Lanesborough, acting through its Chief Procurement Officer and in conjunction with the Tree Warden invites sealed bids from qualified companies to provide various tree management services for FY2022.  A Bid Proposal Package for this project which contains detailed specifications, bid forms and other pertinent information may be obtained from the Office of the Town Manager, 83 North Main Street, Lanesborough, MA during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, starting Monday, May 17, 2021.  To obtain a digital copy of the bid forms please click here.  Please click here for prevailing wage rates.  Sealed bids are due at the Office of the Town Manager by 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  The Board of Selectmen is the awarding authority and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor informalities or irregularities in any bid and to make an award in any manner consistent with the law and deemed to be in the best interests of the Town of Lanesborough.

Our Tree Warden oversees the care, maintenance or removal of all trees on public town lands and is responsible for guarding public resources against destructive forces that might include persons, insects or diseases. 

The Tree Warden does not have office hours but is available to view potential hazardous locations when they arise due to downed trees during storms, age or overgrowth.
